As I understand it, this book is a cult classic, and I was very curious to read it. Weinberg is eminently quotable. The Computer Language Benchmarks Game is a collection of 429 programs, consisting of 13 benchmark reimplemented across 33 programming languages. I think the major culprit is Gerald Weinberg's book, The Psychology of Computer Programming: Silvery Anniversary Edition. However, the rules note that the skill should only exist in the more "cinematic" games — in a realistic game, the would-be hacker will have to instead learn a bunch of various skills like computer programming, psychology, etc. (You might want to look at The Psychology of Computer Programming, written before most of these languages were invented, or their inventors were even born.
